About The Position

The Omaha World-Herald is offering a six-month, full-time paid photo/video internship starting in Summer 2025. This internship is designed for individuals passionate about visual journalism, providing an opportunity to work closely with the photo staff to cover various news stories, features, and sports events at different levels, including college and professional sports. The role emphasizes creativity, accuracy, reliability, and effective communication within a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Requirements

• Current or recently graduated college students preferred.
• Passion for visual journalism and creativity in storytelling.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with video production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with the photo staff to cover news and features.
• Capture images and videos of college, high school, and professional sports events.
• Communicate effectively with the photo staff and newsroom to meet deadlines.
• Utilize provided Canon equipment and software for photo and video production.
