This role involves blending deep reporting, intelligent wit, and good taste to create compulsively readable spot stories, analysis, and features on subjects like style, entertainment, celebrity, society, lifestyle, and the arts, with a fast-paced, robustly reported execution. The ideal candidate will possess a stylish sensibility and journalistic integrity, bringing a background in style news or cultural features assigning and production. A digital, deadline-driven background is essential, requiring the ability to work quickly and accurately on a range of subjects, collaborating with Features editors, reporters, non-staff writers, and contributors. Experience with contemporary portraiture, reportage, conceptual still-life, and deep, expedient research skills are also required.
