About The Position

University Marketing & Communications is looking for a creative and dependable individual to assist with the processing of photo content. We want an individual with proven experience, that is attentive to detail and has a creative eye. This position will report to our Director of Video and Imaging and work on a team of talented creatives. View examples of our work at usu.photoshelter.com . As a photo assistant, you will assist the lead photographer in processing images and assisting on shoots. This position will include photographing events and other assignments as needed. Requirements

• A passion for photography
• Experience using Lightroom and managing photo content
• Ability to complete tasks and work without direct supervision
• Meticulousness and an eye for minute detail

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize assets – keywording/renaming in Lightroom
• Publish content to Photoshelter
• Understand post processing techniques to provide consistent images
• Detail oriented with prompt communication
• Update status of tasks as they are completed in our project management software
• Provide grip support on shoots for the lead photographer
• Understanding of cameras, lenses and lighting
• Take photos at events with and without the lead photographer
• Be a creative resource to the team
• Reliable and effective at communicating and support
