About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Full Time Phlebotomist for their Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho. This role involves collecting blood samples, correctly identifying patients, transporting specimens, and performing related clerical and computer functions. The Phlebotomy Tech will perform manual tasks for registering, ordering, collecting, labeling, processing, and distributing specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages. Responsibilities also include utilizing relevant computer programs for data entry, serving as the central communication point for the laboratory, and maintaining the quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories, as well as reporting received results. The position is a Night shift with alternating weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification preferred
Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred
