About The Position
The Patient Service Tech is responsible for accurately performing and processing electrocardiograms, draws intravenous and capillary blood from adults, infants, and children and all related functions. This position is located in Hastings, MN, and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with rotational weekends. The working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and the role involves making rounds on nursing care units to draw blood and/or perform ECGs as assigned. The technician will also clean and re-stock ECG carts, assist coworkers, and ensure all blood work is drawn and delivered within established departmental policy time frames. The role requires the technician to demonstrate correct placement of electrodes for ECGs and complete clerical functions associated with ECG reports. Additionally, the technician will report any incidents or supply needs in a timely manner and may travel to perform phlebotomy duties at various sites.
