About The Position

Committed to care, our Phlebotomy Technicians can enter a room and bring comfort, calm and compassion. Join a team of 26 Phlebotomists in a fast-paced inpatient unit drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures. This is a part-time day shift 6:00AM-9:30AM with every other weekend at Weill-Cornell Medical Center.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of principles of infection control and normal anatomy required.
• Customer service skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association preferred.
• One year prior venipuncture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians.
• Follow established procedures for blood collection.
• Provide comfort and care to patients during the blood draw process.
