We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor to join our team at our Merced, CA location. Requirements

  • Current CPT License.
  • Must have 3 years of documented on the job experience in a CLIA lab within the last 5 years.
  • Must be proficient in all aspects of blood collection including capillary, syringe, vacutainer, and butterfly methods.
  • Must be comfortable with speaking to large groups, multi-taking and critical thinking.
  • Efficient with computers and technology.
  • Organized and detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instructing students in all aspects of the Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice.
  • Evaluating, reporting, and recording student performance and progress.
  • Prepare students in a 72-hour class to go on to a 40-hour externship in a lab or hospital.
  • Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
  • Providing a professional role model for students
