About The Position

As a part-time Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor at CALRegional, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare by training aspiring healthcare professionals. This position is designed for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who are passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of students. The Phlebotomy Technician Programs run for 3-12 weeks, and you will have the opportunity to instruct students in all aspects of the Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, reporting, and recording student performance and progress, as well as preparing students for a 40-hour externship in a lab or hospital after completing a 72-hour class. In this role, you will assist students in developing an understanding of the values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the healthcare profession, while also providing a professional role model. The position offers flexible weekday morning and evening schedules, making it an ideal side hustle for medical professionals looking to supplement their income. No prior teaching experience is required, allowing you to focus on sharing your expertise in blood collection techniques, including capillary, syringe, vacutainer, and butterfly methods.
