About The Position

Primarily responsible for all duties involved with the collection of blood specimens through venipunctures and skin punctures on all age groups, the collection of specimens other than blood in the outpatient department for urines, throats and nasal swabs, office duties, specimen processing and point of care waived and moderately complex testing. Performs all phlebotomy collection, specimen processing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience required.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma plus training required through work experience or education preferred.
• 3-5 years of previous job-related experience preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy or laboratory processing experience needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens through venipunctures and skin punctures on all age groups.
• Collect specimens other than blood in the outpatient department for urines, throats, and nasal swabs.
• Perform office duties related to specimen processing.
• Conduct point of care waived and moderately complex testing.
