Join a team of Phlebotomists in a fast-paced hospital drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures. This is a full time evening shift position with alternate weekends and rotating holidays.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to deal with patients pleasantly to minimize trauma.
• Knowledge of principles of infection control and normal anatomy.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Computer skills appropriate for the position.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association.
• One year prior venipuncture experience.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians.
• Provide comfort and care to patients during the blood draw process.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and ICU technicians.
• Maintain infection control principles and knowledge of normal anatomy.
• Function well under the pressures of hospital laboratory work.
