About The Position

Correctly performs patient identification, venipuncture/capillary collection technique, and specimen labeling Performs specimen processing functions accurately and efficiently Correctly performs special phlebotomy procedures Demonstrates initiative and leadership qualities Compliance with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the hospital and laboratory computer systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current driver's license with no major driving citations and able to be covered under AMC auto insurance required
• At least one year phlebotomy experience preferred

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Phlebotomy by ASCP (or other nationally recognized certification agency) or completion of AS degree in Medical Laboratory Technician program preferred
