About The Position

Are you an experienced Phlebotomist ready to advance your career? Alton Memorial Hospital has an opportunity for a Laboratory Associate Coordinator. In this position, you will train new employees and maintain the workflow in the lab. Great opportunity for a next step in leadership!
The hours are Mon- Fri from 12PM - 8:30PM; on call every third weekend and rotating holidays

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years
• < 2 years Supervisor Experience

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Supervises laboratory activities to ensure that procedures are performed promptly, accurately, and precisely according to department and hospital policies and procedures.
• May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Ensures Compliance with the Regulatory Guidelines.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
