The Phlebotomy Apprentice position at LMC is designed to prepare students for employment as phlebotomists in various healthcare settings. This apprenticeship combines theoretical knowledge with clinical experience, focusing on the proper techniques for blood specimen collection and processing. Apprentices will learn to use various collection devices and will be trained in infection control procedures, patient communication, and quality assurance in phlebotomy. Upon completion, apprentices will be eligible to take the national certification exam for phlebotomy technicians.
