As a Phlebotomist at Kaiser Irvine, you will be responsible for exhibiting proficiency in blood collection techniques, including venipuncture and capillary methods, from patients of all age groups. You will also be tasked with providing orientation and training for patient service technicians, ensuring that they are well-equipped to perform their duties. The schedule for this position requires availability seven days a week, with shifts scheduled between 6 AM and 10 PM. You will be expected to work 30-40 hours per week, although specific hours cannot be guaranteed due to internal scheduling preferences for Kaiser employees. This role is a contract-to-hire position, with a minimum duration of six months, and you must meet 1040 worked hours to be eligible for permanent employment with Kaiser. The work environment is high-volume, primarily located in Medical Office Buildings (MOBs) and, upon transitioning to a permanent role, in the main lab of the hospital. The MOBs include various draw stations across multiple locations in California, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
