About The Position

Essential Functions: Using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patients. Clearly explaining the process of drawing blood to the patients and answering any questions they may have regarding collection techniques. Registering the blood and storing it in the correct environment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all health and safely standards while working. Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples. Keep accurate records on fluid specimens and tests. Correctly label samples and send or deliver them for testing.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
• Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Class C Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days of employment and renewed biannually.
• Must adhere to NRMC appearance and attire policy.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience in hospital or clinical setting.
