Phlebotomist
About The Position
Overview Properly performs venipuncture on inpatients and outpatients. Properly disposes of all contaminated needles immediately upon completion of phlebotomy procedures. Completes all timed draws, STAT, and ASAP orders before ending the shift. Strictly follows Hospital and Lab policies/procedures regarding patient care with special attention to isolation procedures. Requirements
- Must have a current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certificate.
- Must meet the qualifications of unlicensed personnel to perform venipuncture, skin puncture, and arterial puncture.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in an Acute Care hospital preferred.
