About The Position

Performs capillary and venous punctures, care of the puncture site, obtains specimens from arterial lines and clerical functions. May plate microbiology specimens.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/ GED
• A minimum of one year experience required in phlebotomy.
• Demonstrated proficient computer, written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Normal hospital environment.
• Exposure to biological hazards via venous punctures.
• Close eye work.
• Color perception.
• Hearing within normal range.
• Oral communication with patients.
• Operates computer terminals and printer, lab refrigerators and freezers, and telephones.
• Continuous standing, bending, walking.
• Lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs pushing / pulling up to 15 lbs.
