Collect specimens for diagnostic testing that include blood, throat, nasopharyngeal and TB testing. May serve inpatient and/or outpatient areas. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for diagnostic testing that include blood, throat, nasopharyngeal and TB testing.
• Performing appropriate patient and specimen identification
• Maintaining aseptic technique during specimen collection
• Using correct equipment
• Performing clerical activities such as logging in specimens, quick registration, and ordering labs
• Basic processing of specimens such as centrifuging and transferring as directed to support diagnostic testing.
