About The Position
Vitalant is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing vital clinical services, products, and scientific research to communities nationwide. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be an essential part of Vitalant's donor care team, responsible for setting up blood drives at various locations within a 200-mile radius. Your role involves creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for donors, directly contributing to saving lives and making a vital impact on the community. Vitalant is one of the nation's largest nonprofit blood and biotherapies healthcare organizations, serving over 900 hospitals across the U.S. and hosting approximately 60,000 blood drives annually. The position offers extensive phlebotomy training, making it suitable for individuals just starting their careers or those with prior phlebotomy experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel as required
- Able to lift 40 pounds
Responsibilities
- Greet donors, keeping them comfortable and informed
- Perform blood draws (paid training provided)
- Manage accurate and organized donor information
- Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success
