This full-time, benefit-eligible Phlebotomist position is located at Lafayette Main, working Monday-Friday on the 1st Shift. The role involves providing exceptional patient care and customer-focused service, performing venipuncture on patients of all ages, collecting and preparing non-blood specimens, and ensuring proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering. The Phlebotomist is also expected to champion safety, compliance, and quality control. Employees in this role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and abide by all applicable privacy and security standards, accessing PHI only when required for job duties. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous phlebotomy training or experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and data entry skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
  • Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service.
  • Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
  • Collect/prepare non-blood specimens.
  • Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Abide by all applicable privacy and security standards regarding PHI.
  • Access PHI only when it is required to fulfill job duties.
