About The Position

The Phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining and preparing laboratory specimens (e,g., blood, urine, stool, sputum, and throat) for analysis and various screening tests in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Reports to unit nurse

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a phlebotomy certification from a state approved program
  • Must be currently registered/licensed in applicable state.
  • Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation.
  • CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred
