About The Position

Rocky Mountain Laboratories is a clinical laboratory providing comprehensive laboratory services. We are dedicated to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic information and are committed to improving healthcare outcomes through cutting-edge technology and a patient-centered approach. Position We are seeking a dependable, experienced part-time Phlebotomist to support one of our family medicine clinic partners in Northwest Las Vegas (89128 area) . This is a stationary, in-clinic role focused on venipuncture, specimen collection, and patient care. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and highly skilled in venipuncture, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment. Schedule Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Part-time W2 role, averaging approximately 25 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Active and valid Clinical Laboratory certification applicable to the state of Nevada
  • At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience outside of training or donation centers (geriatric population strongly preferred)
  • Strong venipuncture skills, including experience with challenging draws
  • Experience with specimen processing and order of draw
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Professional communication and patient-care skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (supplies, specimen kits)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, infection control, and standard safety protocols
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently in a client clinic

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in outpatient, primary care, or family medicine clinics
  • Experience with ETS, butterfly, and capillary collection systems
  • Experience with laboratory workflows or specimen processing

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection in accordance with established protocols
  • Provide professional, compassionate patient care in a family medicine clinic setting
  • Verify patient identity and accurately label specimens
  • Process, package, and prepare specimens for courier pickup and laboratory testing
  • Maintain specimen integrity, order of draw, and proper handling procedures
  • Accurately enter and verify patient and specimen data in laboratory systems
  • Follow HIPAA, infection control, and safety guidelines at all times
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Communicate effectively with clinic staff, laboratory personnel, and supervisors
  • Monitor and restock phlebotomy supplies
  • Assist with cross-training or special assignments as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
