About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Cincinnati, OH. This role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting various specimens (drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests), performing accurate and timely data entry of patient information, processing billing, collecting payments when required, preparing all collected specimens for testing and analysis, maintaining patient and specimen information logs, and providing superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties are also necessary, and travel to additional sites may be required. Phlebotomists will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and serving as the face of the company. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
