About The Position
GENERAL OVERVIEW Performs phlebotomy using standard techniques for venipunctures, heel sticks and fingersticks.
Requirements
- Phlebotomy training, required.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a phlebotomist preferred.
- May also require valid driver's license
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collects and processes patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures and within expected timeframes.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the work area and adequate supplies for efficient laboratory operations.
- Performs laboratory support duties to ensure efficient operations such as specimen receiving.
