The phlebotomist performs venipuncture, skin puncture, and specimen collection procedures, managing order entry and billing by assessing medical necessity, and handling various office tasks like answering phones, typing, and filing. They distribute clinical reports, assist with specimen processing, and may perform patient registration. The position includes conducting waived kit testing, micro set-ups, loading specimens onto instruments, and possibly performing instrument maintenance, calibration, and quality control depending on the shift. This role requires access to confidential patient information, emphasizing the importance of ethical behavior and respect for security and privacy. Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!
