Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Sanger, CA. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and being the face of the company. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
  • An application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to attend 2 week training in California

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
  • Current or prior experience with Labcorp

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
