About The Position

Apicha Community Health Center aims to improve community health by providing access to comprehensive primary care, preventive health services, mental health, and supportive services. The center is dedicated to delivering high-quality, culturally competent services that enhance the quality of life. It also advocates for and offers a welcoming environment for underserved and vulnerable populations. We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work at our 400 Broadway location. Position Summary: Perform venipunctures and finger sticks, process medical laboratory tests and document results for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Follow all CLIA and COLA requirements and regulations. Serve as a back-up for clinical team members as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Program, Associate degree preferred.
  • Possession of a current basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS CPR) certificate.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year full time Medical Assistant work experience preferred.
  • Experience working with people living with HIV/AIDS preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish or one of the Asisan languages is strongly preferred.
