About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: Collects appropriate blood specimens from patients using proper technique. Follows all standard precautions and infection control policies and procedures. Acknowledges patients using appropriate customer service techniques. Must remain in full time status for six months.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently; occasionally lifting a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Will require the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat and reach, lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification preferred.
- Familiarity with science courses and/or previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
