About The Position

At Cleveland Clinic Health System, we believe in a better future for healthcare. And each of us is responsible for honoring our commitment to excellence, pushing the boundaries and transforming the patient experience, every day. We all have the power to help, heal and change lives — beginning with our own. That’s the power of the Cleveland Clinic Health System team, and The Power of Every One. Join Cleveland Clinic’s Martin South Hospital where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading edge and caregivers are family. This 100-bed hospital provides top-quality care to the communities in and around Martin County. Here, you will work alongside passionate physicians, nurses and other caregivers in a family-oriented, supportive environment. The Phlebotomist is an integral member of the medical laboratory team whose primary function is the collection of blood samples from patients. Phlebotomists also facilitate the collection and transportation of other laboratory specimens (e.g. urine). Very often the patient’s only contact with the medical laboratory is the phlebotomist. Many patients, from children and teens to adults, often find needles and the idea of having their blood drawn frightening. It takes a skilled Phlebotomist to put the patient at ease while obtaining all the required specimens. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 7:00AM – 3:30PM or 4:00AM – 12:30PM. Martin South Hospital will be the primary work location, but floating to other sites within St. Lucie County may be required, as needed.
