About The Position

SUMMARY: Performs a variety of clerical and computer related activities and phlebotomy with minimal supervision. This individual interacts with patients of all ages and works effectively with others to meet the needs of the patients.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Effective interpersonal skills are also required.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer six months of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Previous computer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs Phlebotomy activities on patients of all ages with minimal supervision.
• Specimen Processing of all samples submitted to laboratory for testing. Provides assistance to all incoming phone calls to the lab.
• Performs Computer related activities as required.
• Advises Manager of complaints and problems.
• Maintains professional skills and competencies.
• Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, family members, visitors and Medical Center personnel as identified in the philosophy of Health-Quest.
• Performs other responsibilities as required.
