About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Charlotte, NC. This role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting various specimens (e.g., drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests), and accurately performing data entry of patient information. Responsibilities also include processing billing information, collecting payments when required, preparing collected specimens for testing and analysis, and maintaining patient and specimen information logs. The Phlebotomist is expected to provide superior customer service to all patients, perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary, and travel to additional sites when needed. Phlebotomists may work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office and are considered the face of the company. Labcorp offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization, and Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Responsibilities
