About The Position

State of Franklin Healthcare Associates is a physician-led and team member-owned multi-specialty care group headquartered in Johnson City, TN with locations in the upper East Tennessee & Southwest Virginia region. Their mission is to improve the health and well-being of their patients and team members. The Phlebotomist will perform venipuncture, arterial, and capillary punctures on patients, conduct designated laboratory testing, assist in donor care before, during, and after donation, instruct patients on urine collection procedures, accurately label specimens, clean/sterilize equipment, instruments, and work area, inventory supplies, place orders when necessary, enter patient data timely and efficiently, and follow organizational, departmental, and governmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy diploma program.
One year of phlebotomist experience.
Phlebotomy Certification

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture, arterial, and capillary punctures on patients.
Conduct designated laboratory testing.
Assist in donor care before, during, and after donation.
Instruct patients on urine collection procedures and accurately label specimens.
Clean/Sterilize equipment, instruments, and work area.
Inventory supplies and place orders when necessary.
Enter patient data timely and efficient.
Follow organizational, departmental, and governmental policies and procedures.
