About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Springfield, NJ. This is a casual/PRN position, meaning hours will be "as needed" with varying start and end times. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and serving as the face of the company. Phlebotomists will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist (In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency)
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience in pediatrics

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
