About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to join our team in Plano, TX (75093) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 7:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed) At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Will cover sites in Plano, TX and surrounding North Dallas areas (40+ miles)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environments
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
  • 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
  • Reliable transportation required
