About The Position
Vitalant is a non-profit blood and biotherapies healthcare organization that provides vital clinical services, products, and scientific research. As a Mobile Phlebotomist at Vitalant, you will be part of a team that makes a vital impact by assisting in setting up blood drives at various locations within a 200-mile range. This role involves creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for donors, helping to save lives and positively impact the community. Vitalant is one of the nation's largest nonprofit blood and biotherapies healthcare organizations, providing hospitals and patients across the U.S. a safe blood supply, specialized laboratory services, transfusion medicine expertise and world-renowned research, hosting approximately 60,000 blood drives annually. The company is hiring immediately and provides extensive phlebotomy training, suitable for those just starting their career or with some prior experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel as required
- Able to lift 40 pounds
Responsibilities
- Greet donors, keeping them comfortable and informed
- Perform blood draws (paid training provided)
- Manage accurate and organized donor information
- Assist Vitalant's donor care team in setting up blood drives at locations within a 200-mile range
- Create comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donors
