This is a per diem/casual, non-benefited position working on varied days. You will generally work during the week 8am to 12 noon Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The second responsibility will be the weekends, Saturday/Sunday from 12pm to 830pm on a rotation. Weekend shifts and holidays are required on a rotating basis. Located at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo and required to float to Hillcrest, Eastlake, and other neighboring sites as needed. Why join Scripps Health? Why Scripps Clinic Labs? Support the laboratory manager in providing excellent patient care. Serve as an ambassador for the laboratory in interactions with patients, physicians, nurses and visitors. Adhere to all safe patient handling standards including demonstration of pre-analytical safety procedures and Infection control protocols. Participate in laboratory performance improvement, which includes error identification and appropriate follow up, investigation, correction, documentation, and notification to appropriate caregiver and lab leadership.
