As a Full-time Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Gillette, WY. This position will support our Lab. Anticipated work schedule will be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Great opportunity for work/life balance!

Requirements

  • Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed.
  • CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer) Certification must include 'hands on' evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor.
  • State Lab Certificate (NV only).
  • State Phlebotomy Tech Certification (CA, WA and LA).
  • Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to collect blood samples from patients.
  • Demonstrates problem solving prevention skills equal to the expected level of responsibility for the job.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assists with supply inventory.
  • May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees.
  • Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment.
  • May require other duties as assigned.
