About The Position

The Phlebotomist Test Coordinator at Natera is responsible for both clinical and administrative duties related to patient care and specimen collection. This role involves direct patient communication, managing blood draw schedules, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. The coordinator will also handle data entry, verify test requisitions, and maintain specimen integrity while working closely with the field team to support existing customers and enhance patient relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
  • Oncology experience required.
  • BS/BA degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy Certificate if required by State.

  • Strong communication skills for patient interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients regarding draw and timing requirements.
  • Access patient information and reports in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Schedule patients and align available blood draw times to clinic requirements.
  • Track and enter data for each draw completed, including billing information.
  • Verify test requisitions and resolve discrepancies with EMR information.
  • Obtain blood specimens through venipunctures while maintaining specimen integrity.
  • Track collected specimens and maintain daily tallies of collections performed.
  • Record results in the quality-control log and report needed changes to processes.
  • Ensure compliance with CAP CLIA standards and procedures.
  • Drive completion and efficiency rates set by the business unit.
  • Articulate product and program specifics to the Natera patient community.
  • Nurture and grow patient relationships to influence and schedule ongoing testing.
  • Make outbound calls as required by business needs.
  • Resolve unusual test orders by contacting relevant medical personnel.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
  • Manage logistical requirements for printing patient reports and scheduling courier services.
