About The Position

Join the Inpatient Lab Team in a dynamic, high-energy environment. This role is for individuals who enjoy helping patients, are organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive team. The Phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining in-house blood specimens, processing laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and providing patient information to the appropriate caregiver. This work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Laboratory experience, specimen processing preferred
  • Clinical office experience with medical terminology
  • National Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods
  • Labels all specimens following laboratory policy
  • Receives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens
