About The Position

LabCorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, dedicated to helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. The company is seeking a Phlebotomist - Rover to join its team in South Bend and Mishawaka, Indiana. This role involves performing skilled specimen collections, including venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, and collecting specimens for various tests such as drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. The Phlebotomist will also be responsible for accurate data entry, processing billing information, collecting payments, and preparing specimens for testing and analysis. A key aspect of the role is providing superior customer service to all patients and maintaining patient and specimen information logs. The position also includes administrative and clerical duties as necessary and requires travel to additional sites when needed. Working in a Patient Service Center, the Phlebotomist will be the face of the company and will have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 1 year of more of phlebotomy experience
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
