Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Phlebotomy certification.
• At least 6 months experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing.
• Check the test requisition or computer label to assure correctness and completeness prior to collecting sample.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines.
• Process specimens to prepare them for laboratory testing.
• Ensure the Patient Service Center is clean, tidy and presentable.
