About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Phlebotomist to join our team at a very busy two-person clinic located in Boise near St. Alphonsus. This clinic serves a wide variety of patients and offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, including point-of-care testing (POCT) and resulting directly into the system. As a teaching facility, this role requires strong communication skills and a willingness to answer questions and support learning. We’re looking for a positive, patient, and adaptable team player who thrives in a high-volume setting and enjoys helping others. Ideal candidates are well-organized, manage their time effectively, and communicate clearly with patients and coworkers. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 9:00am–6:00pm, with a rotating half-day Saturday. Pay: Starting at $19/hour, with rate negotiable based on experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts 401(k) with discretionary employer match Paid Time Off Free clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house In this role, you will be responsible for: Patient care & customer service: Providing a positive experience for a diverse patient population in a high-volume clinic Technical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture, pediatric and adult draws, POCT, and preparing specimens for testing POCT & resulting: Performing point-of-care testing and accurately resulting tests into the system Teaching & communication: Answering questions, supporting learners, and communicating clearly in a teaching-clinic environment Administrative duties: Answering phones, data entry, and general clinic support Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging specimens while maintaining integrity Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, HIPAA, Medicare regulations, and quality assurance standards Teamwork: Working closely with clinic staff to ensure smooth daily operations Education & Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Required: Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong time management and organizational skills Comfortable with data entry and basic computer systems Preferred: POCT experience Pediatric phlebotomy experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) Skills & Competencies: Patient, helpful, and team-oriented mindset Excellent communication skills with patients and coworkers Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care Adaptable, reliable, and eager to support a busy clinic environment About Us: Interpath Laboratory, Inc. is a family owned & operated, clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory with over 90 locations in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs. Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield). Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day. Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed. OSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience
