About The Position

The Phlebotomist/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens. This position is available in various shifts including part-time evening (1:30 pm - 10:00 pm), part-time night (10:00 pm - 6:30 am), and full-time night shifts, all of which require weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures according to departmental procedures.
• Accurately label and prepare specimens for testing or transport.
• Complete requisitions and manage specimen receipt using computer systems.
• Deliver specimens to testing areas.
• Maintain equipment and assist with problem-solving related to patient draws and orders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies.
• Conduct inventory checks, train new employees, and maintain a safe work environment.
