Phlebotomist/Processor, Boise

At Interpath Laboratory's Boise location, we are seeking experienced Phlebotomists/Processors who possess exceptional people skills and a collaborative team spirit. This role is crucial in supporting both our patients and our team's goals. As a Phlebotomist/Processor, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of clinical laboratory operations. This includes patient reception, specimen collection, specimen processing, and reporting for all entities owned or affiliated with Interpath Laboratory, Inc. Our ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be dedicated to providing excellent service to our patients. In this position, you will perform a variety of essential job functions. Administrative duties will involve providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring instrumentation alarms. On the technical side, you will retrieve blood samples and other specimens, prepare them for laboratory testing, and perform necessary screening procedures. Accurate data management is critical, as you will be verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and ensuring proper identification of patient information. You will also be responsible for specimen handling, which includes receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity. Compliance with safety protocols, HIPAA policies, and Medicare rules is paramount, and you will participate in quality assurance activities. Flexibility is also a key aspect of this role, as you may be required to cover work shifts at different sites to ensure smooth operations.
