About The Position

The Phlebotomist 2 at BSWH Waxahachie Hospital is responsible for collecting and processing quality specimens while ensuring exceptional patient care. This role involves adhering to established protocols for specimen handling and contributing to the training and auditing of staff performance. The position requires a commitment to high customer satisfaction and continuous improvement within the laboratory department.

Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of hospital experience.
• Must be certified as a Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT) or Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) from recognized agencies.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process quality specimens in accordance with BSWH policies and procedures.
• Follow established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.

• Carry out clerical duties as needed.
• Engage with department goals and contribute to continuous improvement.
