Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Phlebotomy certification
• CPR and CPI certified within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Performs blood collection procedures and related tasks
• Verifies specimen order requests and identifying information prior to specimen collection
• Labels all specimens collected and delivers/transports them to the appropriate processing area
• Follows venipuncture procedures and displays knowledge of standard procedures, techniques and common practice areas
• Greets patients warmly and professionally at all times of interaction
