About The Position

Phlebotomist Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory. Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing. Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques. Maintains equipment and medical supplies. Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred.
• An approved nationally accredited training course in Phlebotomy Preferred.
• Certification from ASCP or NHA Preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Formal Phlebotomy Training Preferred.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
