About The Position

The position involves working closely with all personnel to facilitate the performance of laboratory tests as ordered by the physician. The role requires maintaining a pleasant and friendly attitude with patients, answering their questions to the best of their ability, and interacting with nursing personnel in the completion of laboratory requisitions and charting. Additionally, the position includes assisting patients and physicians in acquiring correct information about preparation for testing and scheduling patients for testing.

Requirements

• Ability to read well enough to follow instructions
• Write legibly
• Good communication skills
• Moderate degree of manual dexterity
• Must be a registered CPT Phlebotomist or equivalent
• BLS certification required
