About The Position

This Phlebotomist opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient flexible schedule. This dynamic individual will perform venipuncture and skin puncture competently and expediently. Has working knowledge of test requirements, assists in clinical laboratory.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State Laboratory Assistant licensure required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Draws blood competently, consistently and expediently with as little patient discomfort as possible.
• Identifies the patient using the two-unique identifiers described in the hospital’s policy before services are provided.
• Records phlebotomy requisitions on log.
• Displays courteous, professional manner towards patients, co-workers, nursing and medical staff.
