About The Position

The Phlebotomist position at MemorialCare involves assisting and supporting licensed clinical care team members by providing phlebotomy services in a hospital setting. The role is responsible for performing multiple duties related to specimen collection and handling in a medical environment. The position requires effective communication, the ability to address customer needs courteously, and the capability to make informed decisions with minimal supervision. The Phlebotomist must prioritize tasks, interact positively with others, and adhere to company policies and procedures. The role includes working every other weekend, holidays, and additional shifts during weekdays, with shifts starting as early as 5 AM.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current certification as a Phlebotomist Technician by the State of California.
• 2+ years of previous experience performing venipuncture on hospital-based patient populations preferred.
• Knowledge of specimen collection techniques, equipment, and specimen handling required.
